Under the Bay concert this Friday 11/12, 9 PM @ Shattuck Downlow (21+)

So coming back on the BART from the Giants championship parade last Wednesday, I had a chance encounter with Em Dub, the founder of the site Thizzler on the Roof, a phenomenal site for local Bay Area hip hop of all types. While I could speak a lot about the site’s features, I wanted to spread word about an upcoming show that he is sponsoring, the first ever Under The Bay concert, this Friday, November 12th at the Shattuck Downlow (2284 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley CA 94720).

The event features a massive lineup of underexposed talent:

San Quinn
The FNM (Nio Tha Gift, Erk Tha Jerk, Willie Joe and Traxamillion)
DaVinci
Roach Gigz
Young Gully
ST Spittin

The event is hosted by DJ Amen from KMEL. It is ages 21 and over. You can buy discounted presale tickets at thizzler.com/concert

Under The Bay is a weekly video interview series presented by Thizzler On The Roof showcasing Bay Area artists. See episodes of Under The Bay at his website y’all!

Of course, look to see this floating around the East Bay for the next few days. (*cough cough* Put together by our very own in house graphic designer, gabbyzuko)

Everybody over here at (S4HH) has put a lot of work into this and is excited to see it finally come together. In support for the relief efforts in Haiti, Cal Students for Hip Hop is donating all proceeds made by the concert to Partners in Health. $5 dollar donations (or more) are encouraged. It’s going to a good cause.

Help us make this live – The more folks that show up, the more likely (S4HH) will be able to put on quality concerts in the future. We’re doing this in conjunction with the University’s “Welcome Week” campaign so this is for the transfer students, spring admits, lower class men, upper class men, grad students, professor and most of all… the hip hop heads in an around the East Bay community. We hope to see you there.
